A Very Vegan New Year- 3 Course Dinner!

Weekend Kitchen is pleased to introduce into the Kitchen Vegan Chef and Wellness Educator Mary Lawrence of Well on Wheels. In this class Chef Lawrence will instruct us on how to create delicious whole food plant-based recipes perfect for entertaining guests or eating on a daily basis. You'll learn techniques for balancing color, taste, and texture, maximizing nutrition by using fresh, seasonal ingredients, and incorporating foods high in antioxidants and phytonutrients into your cooking repertoire. These quick and easy recipes taste as good as they will make you feel!

Mary Lawrence is a vegan chef and wellness educator with Well on Wheels, Connecticut's premier vegan personal chef service. She is a board member of the American Vegan Society and a frequent speaker at conferences and events, including the North American Vegetarian Society’s annual Summerfest. Mary has a certificate in plant-based nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Foundation at eCornell University, an MA in Communication from the University of Hartford, and a BA in English from UCONN. In 2014 she published Easy Peasy Vegan Eats, a cookbook for busy people making the vegan transition. Her most recent cookbook, Eat Vegan with Me, is a guide for creating community through conversation and compassionate cuisine.
